You’ve probably looked at the Auction House from time to time, when you had a few pieces of Rhino Meat, but the prices were low and you have probably destroyed yours. There is a way you can sell this kind of meat for a lot of gold if you know how and when to do that.
Here’s what you must do:
Firstly, you should know (if you have a skilled cook, you probably do know) that every day a WoW cook can choose 1 out of 5 cooking daily quests from Dalaran. One of these quests is “Mustard Dogs” and it requires 4 Rhino Dogs made from 4 haunches of Rhino Meat.
Now, whenever this daily quest is up, all you need to do is go and get a few stacks of Rhino Meat (plenty of rhinos North from Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra) and sell them in stacks of 4, for 20-25g each stack of 4 pieces. Usually, a full stack of Rhino Meat goes for about 10g. I personally fill up 2-3 pages at the Auction House with my Rhino Meat the day the “Mustard Dogs” is up, and by evening time, they are all sold out.
If you don’t have a cook and you don’t know what cooking daily quest is up in a certain day, just ask that in the trade chat and someone should answer that right away.
Spider Silk is a good item to farm at low level if you don’t have high level characters or just started fresh on a new server, because players don’t farm it and there’s usually a lack on the Auction House of any server. It is needed especially for Tailoring, but for it’s a reagent for other crafted items as well. Basically you can get Spider Silk from any level 20-29 spider you can find. The attached video shows an area to farm low level silk and there’s also a great spot in Thelgen Rock, Wetlands (53,63) where you can find many 22-24 level spiders to get Spider’s Silk.
Thelgen Rock is also a great place to gather Tin Ore if you have Mining.
Another spot to farm a WoW vanity pet is the Hakkari Grounds in Zul’Gurub. I’m talking here about the Razzashi Hatchling. This vanity pet is harder to farm then the other hatchlings, but due to that, it can be sold for a lot more gold. When I get one I usually sell it for 1500-2000g.
Here is the Strategy:
Invite another level 60+ player and make a raid group with them (they can log out afterwards, as long as they remain in your raid group) to be able to enter Zul’Gurub.
Go to Zul’Gurub, in northeastern Stranglethorn Vale. Enter the instance and follow the path East. At Zanza’s Rise, follow the path South, up to Hakkari Grounds, where Bloodlord Mandokir is (see map).
Now, there are 3 packs of Razzashi Raptors (6 each pack), kill them all and loot their corpses. They drop the Razzashi Hatchling vanity pet. After you kill them all run out of the instance, reset it and repeat. Before Mandokir’s compound there are a few more Razzashi Raptors, but they are mixed with trolls which makes them harder to kill. I usually don’t waste time with those.
The Razzashi Hatchling doesn’t have quite a high drop rate, sometimes I don’t get one within 5 resets, but other times it drops at the first pull.
This is a good farming spot to use in adition to the methods you can learn from the Best WoW Gold Guides.
The Doomwalker is not inside the raid instance, it guards the entrance of Black Temple. It spawns at (73,44), in Shadowmoon Valley. Due to the nice loot, this mob is farmed by many, so you might not find it up, most of the times.
Since it’s a raid boss, it hits very hard, has a lot of HP. It cannot be soloed with all the classes in the game. If you want to kill it solo, to keep all the loot for yourself, bring a class with end game tanking gear. A blood-tank-DK or a feral-tank-druid should do. If you fail to kill it and die you will receive a debuff called Mark Of Death. It lasts for 15 min. and as long as you have it, the Doomwalker’s aura will 1-shot you and you won’t be able to make a new good attempt to kill him. Also, at 30% he enters berserk mode and this is the time you want to pop up your cooldowns.
Here is a video related to this:
The Doomwalker always drops 500g and 2 level 70 BoE items which can be sold for 200-250 at AH.
I usually kill this boss with a duo DK-tank, druid-healer to be sure of an 100% kill.

One the best spots to farm Wool Cloth and Linen Cloth is in Wetlands, at location (59,61). It’s a small camp with Mosshide Gnolls. What makes such a good spot to farm low level cloth scraps is the insane respawn rate of these mobs. Sometimes you kill them and they respwan instantly in front of you. I know it’s a bit hard for a Horde to come here, especially if you don’t have the FP in Arathi Highlands, at Hammerfall, but if you want a place to farm both these types of cloth in about 50%-50% drop rate it’s a good spot to come to.
In less then an hour I got 310 Wool Cloth and 298 Linen Cloth which is not bad, considering that on my server these sell sometimes for 20g/stack. It might not be a super spot to make 1000g in 5 min. but if you come here, with all the cloth you’ll get in one farming session you can level your Tailoring and Enchanting from 1 to 150 skill or so. Bring some AoE if possible, because it sucks just to single target them.
